In Brienz town

We drove from Holland, via Germany to Wilderswil, a small town near Interlaken. We stayed in a "zimmer frei", owned & operated by Ms. Barbara Schmied, whose family had lived in the same house for over 400 years! It was still in pristine condition. When she saw my video camera, she admitted it was the first she had ever seen.

Based in Wilderswil, we took day trips up the Jungfrau mountain in a really ingenious train, we went to Brienz on the rally old but beautifully maintained paddle steamer. The town of Grindelwald was really well worth it. Switzerland lived up to all expectations of being clean and neat. Scott had to have 5 stitches to close a cut when a Coke bottle exploded and cut his leg.

Unfortunately, both Chris & Gerda Meekers, who took us to Switzerland are now both deceased.
