Sunrise
Beneteau First 35
After our trip to the USA and Canada in 1997 was over, we returned to South Africa in 1998 to settle there again, however we very soon discovered that we no longer enjoyed living in SA.

In an attempt to settle and become happier, I bought Sunrise, a Beneteau First 35 yacht.

I was extremely impressed with her sailing, she was fast and very responsive and ideal as an island hopping yacht. I am not sure if I would have liked to be on her during a severe storm, but day sailing on her was great fun.

We did not keep her very long, I think only about 5 or 6 months as by that stage we had decided to leave South Africa again and head for Vancouver or the USA.

As it turned out, we returned to Canada early in 1999, via New Zealand and bought our second RV there.

When I bought Sunrise it looked in good nick, but was not in the original Beneteau colour scheme, so just before selling her I decided to take it out the water to anti-foul her and return her to the original colour.
